Is this a good upgrade to play solid games?

My budget is under £600 and my current parts are http://i.gyazo.com/12ad0f9f55abf6ef11defdae4043958d.png.

It's an old prebuilt PC I had which I use now for light gaming (CS-GO, etc) and I'm wanting to step up.

I'd be very leery of that "customized" motherboard, what do they mean by that exactly? I suspect it might be a matter that they welded the CPU to the board, in which case you'll have to replace both. It's a simple thing to check before spending anything on parts but it would be at the top of my "to do" list.

Well the CPU cooler would be in the way and you'd need to be able to re-seat the cooler after you check so you'll need to have thermal compound to reapply it before checking. But yeah, you pretty much have to lift the chip out to see if it's welded on. Once you move the cooler out of the way you might be able to see the welding points or maybe the board doesn't even have the latch-down mechanism for the chip... it's a few different things.

If you can take some photos around the base of the CPU cooler there might be signs that give it away that it's welded. Post them up here and maybe we can tell.

But I'm really curious what they mean by that anyway... "customized" It usually means that it only works with the hardware that the thing came with and that's it... like it's customized to work with what it came with, but good luck upgrading. They like to push it like it's a selling point... "customized" like it's a good thing when it could be a bad thing.
