Hey guys.
So my buddy has an OLD HP PC. That he asked me to gut and attempt to modernize. I'm not that experienced and my only experience comes from building a gaming rig about 6 months ago. Which came out great!
So my friend gave me this old 08 HP. I stripped out the motherboard, CPU and Ram and replaced those with.
AMD A8 7600
Gigabyte GA-F2A68HM-DS2H
and 8g of crucial 1600 (I realize these APUs perform better with higher mghz RAM but w/e)
MY Problem:
PC boots to a black screen which says "a recent hardware or software change my have occurred" and I have the options of:
Start windows in repair mode
Start windows normally
Starting windows normally doesn't work. And starting in repair mode leads to a 10 minute scan
that's also inconclusive.
So, brothers, Did I mess up big time? Any thoughts?
