I am looking for a cheap PC build that will run games like slightly modded Skyrim, moderately modded Minecraft, Oblivion, Dark Souls I & II, Far Cry 3 & 4, Assassin's Creed, some newer games, and mostly single-player, role-playing, and indie games on a 720p (32" 1366x768 HDTV) monitor at 40 or more FPS on at least high settings. My maximum budget is around $600, but would like to have the build as low as the $500-$550 range if possible, with similar performance, and with the OS and peripherals included. I might try overclocking in a little while, but not immediately after I buy it. I would also like it to last about 1 1/2 years, if possible.

Here is a build I think would be close to the performance that I am looking for:http://pcpartpicker.com/p/VTCF6h

The only thing is that it is $630, so I would like it to be cheaper. Thanks!

Budget got lower, sadly.:( Need the money for other things, so I'm going for a 720p build instead.

RedMan is talking about a $1000 1080p build, that I was trying to figure out before. Also, I posted multiple threads for the same builds, because I am new to PC building and want to get it exactly right.

Hey man,
Your build is actually quite good. Since Minecraft relies on a CPU more than GPU I would recommend getting a quad-core or better such as the FX-6300 or i5. If you are not going to be OC'ing ditch the cooler and put money towards an SSD or better PSU. You won't need the thermal paste either as the stock cooler and 212 EVO both come will thermal paste. Since you have a budget build there is no reason to buy a case such as the 200R. Get a cheaper case and put that money towards a better GPU like the GTX 960 or R9 380/X. You don't need the extra fans so ditch those and ditch the DVD drive as well; they've become obsolete and you can install Windows off a USB.

I sacrificed the CM Storm Devastator, thermal paste, and extra fans so you can afford a GTX 960. You can still game with a standard mouse and keyboard while putting the money into something else. While 380 is only slightly more expensive, you'll need to get a PSU with higher wattage. A FX 6300 and it's mobo might work for a little more money. Also included is a DVD drive in case you insist on getting it, but it's optional as stated before.
