I really disagree with all the Console Killer builds because they does not have a operating system. I'm interested in alienware alpha core i3 4gb with 4gb of ram and i will add another 4gb stick. The alienware alpha core i3 4gb cost 415 - 450$ on amazon and the price change everyday. I have seen so many PC FANBOY hate the console and build their own console killer and publish it to YouTube or thier websites or by comments and i have seen most of them does not have a professional operating system like the PS4 or XBOX ONE and Alienqare alpha which include the Windows 8.1 **Professional** which cost alot. And your guys think that Console Killer Build are amazing to beats console without the OS and can it illegal to pirate windows iso. Those console killer builds does not include an OS, keyboard, mouse, or a controller with reciever, Wi-Fi. Here by build to make it look great like alienware alpha core i3 4gb version

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/z43mzy

It cost 650$. about 200$ more than the alienware alpha.

Build a cheaper one with Wi-Fi and operating system and keyboard and mouse if you can and post it in the comment section.

Correct me if im wrong.

Soooo...turning a computer, into a computer.
Gotcha.
Most of us just re-use KB/M as needed, and Wi-fi isn't needed since most of us use wired connections for stability. A Win 7 64 Home Premium OEM install costs $99.

And that build for that price really isn't that good. Alienwares are always about $200 overpriced.

This is infinitely more capable than your console.

I'm not sure if you deliberately limited yourself by going m-ITX or not but you are setting us up to fail with a size constraint.

I do not consider WiFi necessary at all.

Thanks for the laugh.

You also don't have to use Windows at all if you really don't want to.

Most "console" killers don't have Intel i3's in them. Usually an mid range FX chip or a high end Athlon+GPU/A10 for parity. I would consider a Console Killer to be closer to the $800-1000 price point. Running the same games at 1920x1080 at 60FPS instead of 30 FPS.

I can see the argument for the Mini-ITX board with Wifi, but you can save a lot of money with a MicroATX board and an add-in Wifi card.

Not sure about that but whilst you pay 650 dollars for a PC you are saving yearly costs on maximum price AAA titles and yearly online subscription costs.

Next to that you also get the benefits of PC. Meaning you can do everything on a PC because the specs allow it; such as Photoshop, video editing whatever.

To me, listing a build 'proving' PC is much better is pointless as the OP won't get a better insight of the actual differences between the two platforms.

On purchase you get two massive things in one which is a good gaming system and a good computer combined. You get the best of both worlds which makes the extra costs valuable and reasonable aswell.

I massively disagree with said 'fanboys' and I tend to ignore them because they have no vision or creative thoughts in that degree.

Considering at the end on the day I can save money on games as well as having the ability to do more than just play games and stream music/video, there's simply no way for your console to win out.

Living room computers essentially. Not everyone has ethernet drops in the walls and not everyone is willing, or capable of installing them (as in renting), or want to have cables running everywhere.

Standard feature of consoles to match. Wireless AC for the heck of it as well.

Question:
Can you write a resume on a console?
Can you manage a monthly budget on a console?
Can you edit pics of your kids on a console?
Can you do homework on a console?

You can do all of that on a PC, as well as play games the same or better than a console.

There are things in life other than games.

(and using an alienware box as a comparison point is stacking the deck)

Well... at this point in time no, but in the near future, maybe.
