Motherboard only recognizing second stick of RAM?

Alright TH community, here is my dilemma. I just recently built a computer, and this is one of my nagging issues that needs to be addressed. I installed 2 sticks of 4 gig corsair vengeance RAM into my asus H97M Plus motherboard. I had to move the sticks over to the A2 and B2 channels as opposed to the A1 and B1 channels due to my large aftermarket CPU cooler (the Hyper 212 Evo). This should not cause any issues in theory. When I boot up, the red dram_led flashes briefly. When I go into BIOS, the motherboard only recognizes one RAM stick. And queerly enough, it only recognizes the one in the B2 channel. At first I thought this to be a damaged ram stick, so in order to test this I switched the cards' places. To my dismay the B2 slot was recognized again, prompting me to realize that damaged cards are not the issue. I would then logically come to assume that motherboard was the issue. However no other feasible incidents have occurred to reinforce this claim, so I do not believe the motherboard to be the issue. My processor is an intel i3 4160, in case that sheds any further light. It is also interesting to note that others have had similar issues, and they find that cpu-z registers both ram sticks working in dual channel mode, however these same people acknowledge that the BIOS is more correct than a program. What is going on with my setup?

Here are some pictures to clarify the issue further. They are in a set, so you have to scroll through them. http://

Thank you all for your time.

no time waste that the way your board work you could get another set of the same ram in low level size and use all 4 slot with the fan in front , and since this is a intel i seen the evo fan could be down and push air up o the fin see the cooler booklet .

Alright I just moved the fan to the other side of the heatsink. This will cause my cpu to run like 4 degrees C hotter, but I put my ram in slots 1 and 3 and the bios detected it. Sorry for wasting your guys' time, I fixed it myself.
