Hey Everyone ,

I'm not much of an expert and if I was then I wouldn't be posting this question . So bearr with and here goes.

First of all , my Specs are :

Processor : Core i7-4790K with Corsair H100i Liquid Cooler

Motherboard : Msi H87-G43

Ram : Corsair Vengeance 16GB @1600 Mhz

GPU : Sapphire Nitro R9-390

HDD : Western Digital Caviar Blue 500 GB

SSD : Transcend 128 GB

PSU : Corsair CX 750 watt

Casing : Thermaltake Chaser MK-I

Now coming to my inquiry and what I want to know is that I want to add another SSD . So with my current PSU , will it be able to handle and provide enough juice to my Build and even afterr adding another SSD ? My GPU, Sapphire Nitro R9-390 alone requires 600 watt (as far as I've read on their webpage) .

It's a very NOOB question I know but would really appreciate it if anyone could enlighten me and help me out on this . Thanks in Advance , cheers !

Solution
the 600w is not how much the card uses but rather what they suggest in total power for you psu. the card only uses about 275w stock.

you will have no problem running another ssd. they use very little power and don't even pull from the 12v rail like the gpu does.

you can add a bunch more ssd's and not have any issues. you have a lot of power to spare.

Thanx for the advice , feeling relieved now . BTW , I live in Bangladesh so Our weather is most of the time tropical so what I want to know is my Core i7-4790K is idling at 40-45 °C . Is this Normal and as you can see my Specs from this post , I'm using a Corsair H100i Liquid Cooler . So is the idle temp. normal or should I recheck or reapply thermal paste ?

LOL , forgive me as I tend to think too much and get paranoid in the process . Thanx for the reassuring answer :)

that's not bad considering the ambient temps in your area. my 4690k runs a bit lower than that on air cooling but it's also not as hot inside the house here. the high end of the temps is where you should be looking. how hot does the cpu get under load? that's what you should worry about if anything. about 80 degrees is about as high as you want it to go but under 70 is a good target range. the water cooling should easily keep it under those temps but check to be sure.

Ok , I'll turn on MSI Afterburner to monitor my temps. in game and will notify you later , thanx .

I played Witcher 3 with everything maxed out and my CPU didn't exceed 72°C so I guess that's a good thing but I'm still concerned about temp. idling at 38-40°C :/

i believe that's about where my 4690k is. under 40 anyway at idle. that's only on air with a highly ac'ed room. so with water and much higher ambient temps, that does not seem too high to me at all.

it won't hurt to reapply the paste if you feel it is too high. i tend to do this about every 6 months or so just because. it's not like it takes a long time or risks anything. give it a shot and see if that lowers the temps any. though they are certainly safe temps.

You can read minds , did you know that ? :) Coz I was thinking of the same thing , reapplying the thermal paste and see what happens. Thanx for all the advice and help , cheers mate :D
