So after my previous thread got successfully completed after 7 hours, I ran straight into a new problem. I tried to set up 2 SSDs in a RAID 0 Configuration. I have a Kingston 120GB and a SanDisk 250GB. I figured id use the raid controller built into my motherboard as ive seen people saying that they are more reliable than software configurations.

So I changed disconnected all my drives apart from my 2 SSDs, and changed the drive mode to RAID. I then booted into Intel Rapid Storage Technology, and tried to set up my RAID 0 Config. Both of my drives were listed and I went to set up the raid. On the next page it asked me to name it and all, and I noticed that the combined size of my raid was 223GB (the size of my 250GB SSD) and it didn't include my 120GB. I figured something went wrong, I restarted my system, but now no drives were shown.

On both occasions the option for selecting the drives was greyed out could not be changed. Does anybody Know what is going wrong and how to fix it?

I know that a lot of people don't like RAID0 and will try to talk me out of it, and although I appreciate your help and concern, I am just looking for answers that will help me solve this problem. Know that I have taken all factors into account and have taken necessary precautions. I have my reasons for wanting RAID0, so any comments just telling me that I shouldn't use RAID0 without giving an equal alternative to it will be deleted.

Thanks guys
