Multiple errors and blue screens even after clean installs

Hi there,

As stated in the title, I am getting multiple errors since reinstalling windows. I am on my third installation so far as I have had error messages popping up all day. Unfortunately I am unable to give key specifics of each one at the moment (I can upload them as they arise) but here is an overview of the problems I have had.

First of all constant windows update errors when downloading and installing updates

Then blue screens, roughly 5 (the last I managed to note was MEM_MANAGEMENT I believe)

After installing avira anti virus I started getting application errors including, systray avgnt.exe error 0xC0000415, wermgr.exe and wefault.exe (I think was the last one)

My spec is,

i7 4770k
GTX 770
Asus z79 pro
Cosair vengence 16gb ram
Samsung evo 120gb SSD (windows 7 pro 64bit installed)
Seagate 1tb (storage)

I am at a loss and completely overwhelmed with these problems. I wanted to do a clean install as I had a few admin related problems with my old installation and as I use it for work couldn't ideally wait until next week for the windows 10 update.

What can I do at the moment, I'm happy to try another install and start from scratch again if it will help but I've done that three times already. I format the drives each time but could it be a problem with things being left behind on it maybe?

Thanks for looking and anyone that can help me.

Solution
I just selected whatever optimization option, in magician to disable whatever.

I didnt move the page file, but I dont use system restore so I disable it on all the pcs here. 3 of them.

All it does, is take up space. And if you get malware, it can hide in its folders

Main thing is dont defrag it. And keep the firmware up to date. If updates come out

I dont install all of these fancy overclocking programs tweaks or programs like daemontools. Sooner or later they'll crash the system. The more crap you install, the higher the risk of the system crashing

I havent installed any 3rd party AV programs or security suites, on them. All of them sooner or later will crash the system. All of these just use the windows AV program. It's not...

Make sure all hardware is seated properly, may even just remove and readd. Also, within Device Manager, does anything have Yellow Exclamation Marks? Have you seen any errors within Event logs that relate to your crashes?

Thanks for the reply.

I've not yet tested seeing if my hardware is properly seated. Is it simply just a case of unplugging and reconnecting my ram, gfx card and hard drives?

I have no yellow exclamation marks in my device manager however upon inspection of my event viewer, I do have a shocking amount of errors. I will post a screen shot of the event viewer but what would be the better way to share some of these errors?

Event viewer overview

Thanks again

It is common to have errors, but check the errors and see if any correlate to the time your PC keeps crashing. Then you can send a few via screenshot to us and we can analyze them. Also, yes just reseat the RAM. You can also do a mem test to see if your memory is bad.

Can you paste any of your minidump files here for us to see?

Thanks for those replies. I'm home later so I can check properly then. I will check for any mini dump files and upload any that I have, should I just copy and paste the text or upload the files themselves?

I will make sure all my hardware is plugged in correctly as well as doing a memory test tonight. Would it just be the gfx card that is not the bare minimum?

Thanks guys, really appreciate your support.

Would that be the SSD that has windows installed on? Its still relatively new. Less than a year old : ( Can any repairs be done?

No its never been defragged. I've only ever used it for Windows and the odd couple of primary programs such as Photoshop and Maya. Its had a few formats but overall its probs only had a whole 6-8 months of use.

I've not ever run any updates manually on it to be perfectly honest. Does Windows update not gather updates for installed hardware? I got a disc with it but it seemed to only be needed for upgrading from a HDD. I will run the firmware update though. Is it worth running a disk check overnight?

Ok so there was an update which I've applied. The drive health status says good but I'm yet to do any further optimization with the software. Could this have been the issue before? What was the other dmp file problem as well?

Asus suite isn't installed at the moment. Do you know what would have caused the windows update errors right at the beginning though or the application errors. I listed above? Thank you for that driver link, I will keep an eye on it. Is there any error debugging I can do as opposed to waiting on errors to appear as when?

Thanks for your support.

Well through sheer perseverance I managed to get through all the updates but it took quite a long time and several restarts until windows finally installed them all. The only one I noted was 0x800070246. Sorry not particularly helpful there. I tried to find error solutions as I went, for the windows update errors I tried an update error windowsdiagnostic fix that worked once out of two attempts. I just wanted to know what caused the issue in the first place really.

Thanks for those further suggestions Paul, I will swap out another cable. Ok so using the Samsung Magician, I run an advanced performance optimization. Forgive my naivety in the question, but can you suggest and explain what else I can do to properly maintain my SSD. I've read all sorts of threads that say to disable things such as System restore and to disable/move the page file. Any advice on this?
