Hello!

Every vote is greatly appreciated:

If you want to reccomend another mechanical keyboard that I haven't listed, then please post here! Any help is appreciated!

Thanks for helping me out with my decision.

I am sure you have seen this keyboard head to head before, but I haven't seen a post with a Straw Poll, this will give me and others a great understanding on which keyboard is best from what you guys reccomend.

Personally, I would like a keyboard that will last, so that I can confidently type on without thinking "I am pressing this key a lot, I hope it doesn't die!". A strong build and good quality switches are my top priority, but I am also a fan of RGB lights and customisation of the LEDs

Please express your honest opinions below, explanations of your choise will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for reading! Any input is appreciated!

It isn't that they are taller but instead of designing the keyboard like most of the other companies, where the keys sit recessed into the casing, there is no casing for them to sit into. The keys themselves stick out of a aluminum plate and the caps go on top. Makes cleaning and changing very easy.

Notice on the Razer how they sit sort of under a cover along the sides while you can actually see the under sides of the K70 RGB.
From most reviews I have seen the Razers switches, their own version, are not as good as the Cherry MX switches which is what the Corsair K70 RGB uses.

I couldn't find anything on the Razer build materials but the thing I love most about Corsairs keyboards is the metal design with the keys being raised instead of recessed. Just makes it so much easier to clean out and replace the keys if needed.

My top priority is reliability and a nice strong robust build to the keyboard. I know the build quality of the Blackwidow is plastic, but knowing Razer it will have a nice matt finish, and will probably feel robust to use.

However, the brush metal on the K70 is leading me to believe that it has a good, strong and durable build.

Thanks for your assistance :)

I don't use it as much anymore, haven't been playing Guild Wars 2 much which is why I got the K90 and my old Logitech G600, but when I did use it it was as good as any other. You had the ability to create macros on the fly and assign them pretty easily.

Only thing I didn't have was the lighting profiles and from everything I have heard the lightin is pretty cool. You can actually download lighting profiles other people have created and assign them for games or other tasks.

I have watched some reviews and they all say the software is really complex and looks like a work in progress.

Has it changed much?

Sorry for the large amount of questions, but as you have the K70 you are the best person to ask, as you can give your honest opinion :)

Oh I am sorry if I led you to believe that I have the K70. I have the older K90. But the K70 is built the same, just uses Cherry MX RGBs and has per key lighting.

The software for it is a work in progress, any software really is, but from what I have seen it looks easy enough to use.
