WoW - Upgraded Computer, Recommended Setting Dropped

So, I was running an Asus P5Q-e LGA775 with a QuadCore Q9450 and 4GB of DDR2 memory, with an Asus GTX650Ti 2GB video card running off an old SATA1 HDD.

When I ran the 'recommended settings' button it set me to High.

I built a new system yesterday... Asus H97-Plus with XEON e3-1231v3 CPU, 16GB of DDR3 PC-1600 ram, and an ASUS GTX960 2GB video card running off a SATA3 SSD drive.

When I run the 'recommended settings' but... I'm set to... Good?

Ran FurMark for 30min max settings, and Prime95 for 12h... no errors. Running MemTest86 tonight which will also run 12h. So far, the system runs fine.

Also running Win7x64, same as my old system... I didn't clone the old drive, I did a full install from the Win7x64 disc. All updates run, newest drivers for everything.

Am I wrong? Shouldn't this system be at least "High"? I'm pretty certain it's faster than the old computer.

I'm just worried that (since built the system a day ago) that even though it's running without errors, there's still something wrong with it... setup wrong, bios setting etc... just expected if the old system was high, I'd click the button and it would jump to ultra on this one.

You cannot trust those "recommended settings" very often, set everything to Ultra you'll be fine it likely just doesn't understand the xeon processor because its not one of the processors listed for the specs of the game. That doesn't mean it won't run, it just means that the auto detect for the graphics settings doesn't recognize it.

Just got the 'new computer' paranoia... had some odd multi-coloured static last night even pre-boot. Re-seated the video card and plugged back the video cable, and so far so good, but... if a hardware issue, I definitely want to have it taken care of ASAP.

I have FurMark, MemTest86 and Prime95... should be enough to catch anything obvious right?

Well, seems good... no idea why the auto detect is set so low... but full max settings on WOW (made a new character, free to play until lvl20) and totally smooth.

Also, Bioshock Infinite set to max and very smooth as well.

Wasn't meant as a gaming computer... but... definitely want to play games on it :D
