OC Genie msi motherboard question

hello pc enthusiast community!
hey guys i have a quick question i built my computer about a year ago and i never overlocked anything on my computer and was curious about the oc genie in the bios would it hurt my system if i ran it with oc genie enabled? any input would be very nice of you. thanks in advanced!

AMD athlon x4 760k
R7 260x 2GB OC
Crusial Ballistic Sport 1x8 ddr3 1600

Solution
The OC Genie is generally pretty conservative, and consider relatively safe. Adding voltage to overclock can theoretically shorten CPU life. That being said if you stay within safe voltage and keep the temperatures under control your CPU will still live longer than you are likely to have it.

If you want to enable it go for it. However if you don't actually need to over clock, there is no reason to consume more power and produce more heat.
