Can you let Thermal Paste sit for a day or 2 before running the PC.

Hi, i've been working on my first build, it's taking me longer than expected so im just wondering if it's ok to let the thermal paste sit for like a day or 2 before booting up the computer for the first time. Or do you need to start the computer a short time after you apply the thermal paste for it to actually work properly.

No, letting it sit is fine. I'm assuming that you have the cooler actually mounted on the cpu. If not mounted, it could pick up dust particles in the paste, that would be bad

No its fine to let it sit. Some thermal pastes will improve as they are heat cycled, but this will happen on its own if you power it up right now, or next month. Doesn't matter.
