What motherboard would you recommend for this build around ~$120?

Either that one, or the Gigabyte Z97X-Gaming 5 would be my choices in that price range. The ASUS Z97-AR is also decent, but doesn't have quite as good audio, BUT, it does have USB 3.1, which is a feature that might be worth having with upcoming devices that support the USB C spec as it's a pretty fair performance increase over USB 3.0. You'd need USB 3.1 devices to see any advantage though and if you don't use external drives it's probably not worth it.
