my mobo is SABERTOOTH Z97 MARK 1, and support
4 x DIMM, Max. 32GB, DDR3 1866/1600/1333 MHz


my friend have 2x8 gb corsair dominator platinum 2400mhz

my question can i used corsair dominator platinum 2400mhz to my mobo?
this is dangerous or not?

please help

Yes, the Sabertooth line of mobos is made to stress stability and a workstation type use opposed to gaming, but is effectively a good gaming platform, which is why often advertised to 1866, but it can easily handle higher and faster data rates. With 2400 the primary factor will be if the CPU/MC can handle and carry 2400 sticks, best to get a K model CPU

You can use it as long as it is still DDR3, which it most likely is. The RAM will clock itself down to 1600MHz, but they should work. It's like using a high-end GPU in a mid-end system, it will work, but not at full power.
