So I'm building a pc for around 500 dollars.

I chose these parts out for now, but I don't know if they are good enough or compatible. Also I was wondering if it is better to ditch the amd cpu and motherboard and go for an i3 4150/30. Please tell me if there are better options or if amd should run most games fine. (Tell me if you know of better items for the price)

Lot better than your build

Thanks a lot, but isn't the athlon going to limit the 960. And, I'm looking for something I can play games on as well as use daily for multi tasking, so is the athlon snappy enough for that? I won't be doing any overclocking either. Also, I see you switched the cases,, can i keep the nsxt source 210 elite? its atx and comes with two fans (i need the fans)

The 860k is a good CPU mate really & pairs well with a 960.

Techjonnies have a lot of game benchmark videos on YouTube.

If it means getting the 960 into the budget its an absolutely viable configuration

6300+370 is also decent but the 960 will perform a lot better for gaming.

Both are certainly better than a 8320+750ti most definitely IMO.

Multitasking / general windows use you won't tell a difference between i3/860k/fx 6300 at all.
