Hi guys, I'm trying to install my graphics card (GeForce G210 512MB DDR2 D/HDMI) To my pre-build gateway desktop pc (Gateway SX2802-02c) But when i place the Graphics card into the PCI slot then like, Hookup all the pc cables (the power cord, mouse, keyboard, monitor) and press the power button, The pc doesn't turn on but a yellow light turns on where the power button is, But when i like, Take out the graphics card it works again. (Normally the power button light is blue, It's yellow now) I was going to take my pc to a computer repair shop, But a friend suggested that i post my problem on these forums, to see if anyone could help me. Like a second opinion i guess. Anyways! Thanks for reading.

the yellow light on the power button is most likely the normal colour for the power button, Your pc boots without the card as it is probably using the integrated graphics in the cpu, but when you install the graphics card it may default to use the graphics card instead as the display adapter, if the card is faulty, installed incorrectly, or in the wrong pci-e slot then it may be unnable to display to the monitor

Edit: can you post your specifications of your PC, go to my computer then right click and press properties if you didnt know how

Hey here's another thing, I've added the graphics card to my other pc (Dell Vostro 200) It has a 300W PSU, But the yellow light turns on for this pc and it doesn't start, Just the power button turns yellow as well as the Gateway pc. So, Yeah... I don't know what the probelm is.

well either both PSU are not able to put out enough power for your card, the 220W is not powerful enough and 300W is just borderline enough but might not be enough for your whole system with the card or the video card is faulty. If you can get a 450W PSU and test with it then you'll know for sure if its the card or not.
