Need some professional help guys.
So I have this old, cheap motherboard: ECS P55H-CM
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
Existing Ram: 2x Apacer 2GB PC3-10600 DDR3-1333MHz

And I would like to instal 2x8GB ram instead http://www.legitreviews.com/kingston-hyperx-blu-1600mhz-16gb-2x8gb-memory-kit-review_2021/6

Newegg says that my motherboard supports max 16gb ram. And when i wanted to see if it would work i check this link that said that it only supports 4gb per slot http://www.okmemory.com/DesktopSelector.aspx?modelid=32723

Now I am not sure that is correct because max ram frequency is not right on that link. It said 1066 mhz, when in fact it is 1333mhz.

Who should i trust now and are there any common rules for motherboards, like if there is limit of 16GB that it must be spread across all 4 slots or something?

Solution
Oh if you have one with 4 slots then you can only put 4gb sticks in. There is a max per slot so you can't install 8gb sticks without swapping the motherboard.

Hi Mankar. I am looking at my motherboard right now, it has 4 slots, dual channel, of which second and fourth are occupied by my existing ram. My fear is that i haven't heard of max ram memory per slot, only max ram in general. Is that a real thing?
