Black screen after login with cursor control

Lenovo laptop E430, updated BIOS to v2.55, can boot into safe mode with internet - works fine. Removed video driver, now reads VGA. chkdsk found no error, tried clean boot - didn't make a difference. Ran BIOS checks and all came up clean. No Adware or viruses. Any ideas?

ANSWER: Since it had stopped working a few weeks ago, used the event log to determine that anti virus and Lenovo software had updated around that time. Uninstalled both and it started working again. I hope this helps someone out there!
