Will this PC Build be able to reasonably run games on Ultra?

I want to be able to run games on Ultra with a reasonable amount of FPS (where it's not slow, like a laptop). Sorry if this question is cliché but will this PC Build be able to run most modern games on high settings with good FPS?

Other Notes: (Please answer above questions FIRST before making comments about these>) I purposely built it in a small shell because I wanted it to be portable. I plan to hook it up to my Full HD TV via HDMI. Modern games include COD, GTA V, Elder Scrolls, etc. Also I set a budget of around $700 so.... My plan is to hopefully have a computer that will last at least the next 5 years specs-wise. Again please answer the questions above before making comments on these notes though.

The 960 is more than capable of handling HIGH settings on 1080p, I own one and it runs Witcher 3 (THE BEST LOOKING GAME OF THIS YEAR COME AT ME BROS) on high-ultra settings 60+fps rock solid. It is a very good card for the price.

It will run Elder scrolls and COD no sweat, 60 fps easy at 1080p

GTA V will be stuck with medium textures because of the 2 gs of ram, the game settings will prevent you from going any higher.

What should I do then? Keep in mind I am stuck to parts that will fit within that case..

What did you mean by 2gs of ram? I plan to have at least 8 GB ram. Also (not to start a fight here LOL) was the previous guy wrong then? I am putting a lot of money (for me) into this so I really need to be sure of it before I invest in it!!! Thanks.

Yeah no offense to the feller, but he's horribly wrong. The 960 is on the high end of medium range enthusiast cards.

And I meant to say 2 gigs of video ram on the card, unless you get the 4 gig version, which costs more. Only in GTA V I've seen this feature in settings where it shows how much Vram the settings will eat, and it goes over 2 gigs as soon as the textures are cranked over medium. Everything else is on high, but the textures just can't be taken higher with a 2g 960, I tried.

Thank you so much. Okay so that looks like a suitable build then? (Check yes or no ;) <<

I plan to do things other than gaming too however gaming and school will be its main purposes. If you can, please take a look at my other questions too and thank you so much for helping to answer this.

I agree with starchief. I have the evga 960 ssc, and it runs battlefield on high with some antialiasing just fine, world of warcraft on ultra with AA turned off. I could turn it on but my card was getting to 60deg C and I like to keep it cooler.

if you want to be able to run EVERYTHING fully maxed out on ultra settings at 1080, look into a 970. but I like my 960 alot

maybe took a look at one of the smaller 960 card though cuase of the mini itx? I know evga has a smaller one. I think its the SC. not sure about the other card makers.

not sure if it would make a difference at all . and I think they cost more than the one you listed

Okay, but the one I have already is still suitable enough right?

As he said, and also I'm not stuck to that PSU, that was just to lay everything out. If you're talking about wattage I already put it in a wattage calculator and that should be more than enough for this build x) Again though I can change that if necessary.

I got told this ^^ when I pasted my PC build somewhere else. I'm confused.. will it or will it not run the way mentioned (I understand this isn't necessarily a yes/no question but what I mean is how does it look like it is going to run. Also, I am going to change the PSU)

I don't know here those benchmarks come from.

I built a rig for my wench: FX 8320e, 8g of ram and an Asus Strix GTX 960

It runs Witcher 3 with everything on high, ultra textures and shadows I think and Nvidia hair woks turned off @ 60+ Solid. Yeah when ALL the settings are turned to ultra, the frames drop to like high 20s.

But the fps claims on that above benchmark for MEDIUM settings is a flat out lie.

I believe you considering you have it :p Is there anything different about my build that would make it run significantly worse than yours or? (And btw, benchmarks aren't particularly always right anyways, which is why I'm glad I have you guys :p)
