[URGENT, sort of.] New build. Where do I plug these wires in?

Hi everyone!

This is my first proper build where I actually set out to not just put the componants in, but to put all the wires in the right places. This is a repost as I'm very shot on time to finish. Apologies to the angry mods. I had to. ;'(

Unfortunately I appear to be terrible at it, as I could only get my h100i Gtx's cooling solution to start moving, and it's fans to power up, along with the mobo to post (I think) and the GPU to power on. The other front 3 120mm fans, plus the back 140mm fan stayed dead.

Would you guys mind helping me plug all the tiny cables in.
I will supply pics and the specs of my new rig.

Asus VII Hero
Corsair air 540
Gtx 780 twin frozr(one of my old cards)
2 HDD's.
1 SDD
EVGA 1300watt G2 gold (Crazy overkill I know. Planning on huge gpu upgrade)

If you guys need clearer pics I can supply with with pleasure! Thanks again!

No problem but I will be going to bed since we are gonna fly tomorrow (holidays).
I hope it works and if it still doesn't, ask again but first I would take a look into the manual because most questions can be resolved this way (also some users here like to give stupid answers like "this is so easy just read the manual" instead of giving the answer).

Have fun with your new computer!

The mobo I got didn't come with a manual unfortunately.

Where do you put them into the mobo? What sockets I mean.

Dumb this sh** down as far as possible if you can.

bottom of the motherboard, so closest to the hard drives, what I would think of as front of the motherboard, so opposite side as the back panel. The array of pins underneath the republic of gamers logo. If you have good eyes, most boards print what goes where in that pin array on the board, otherwise you may need to refer to the motherboard manufacturers website to get a manual.

Thanks mate. Will have a look.

Yes, I got that far. Unfortunately I dont know which they are supposed to be plugged in.

Do I put the pins in vertically, or horizontally?

Thanks brother!
That helped me out a lot. It turned out it was horizontal. ^_^

you've all bee a great help.
Now all I have to do is to figure out how to get the other fans moving as the cpu_fan headers arn't working. :p

did you connect both power cables?

I think they are non pwm fans right?
Did you connect them the right way?
You have to connect GND to GND; PWR to +12V and In to the tacho

Edited spelling because it is late and I am tired ^^

Hmm, this might be it!

This EATEX 12v cable; I don't know what one this. It looks like a standard vga cable. Could I use one of them?

Also, as for the right sockets. There's guard thing that only lets them go in one way, I think that's the right. If you need a pick I'll happily show you.

Ok, I managed to get into the BIOS. Everything seems to be find. Everything has been registerd.
Ecept the SSD I have which is the boot drive with W7 on it wont load and when I 'save and exit', it just brings me back to the BIOS.

How do I get out? XD

You habe to select the SSD im the BIOS as your boot drive if it doesn't do it automaticaly. Sometimes you just have to set up your OS entirely new on your new compiter because your boot section of your old drive is messed up. In this case you will have to backup your ssd (don't delete the current OS, just a safety backup), then you build it into your computer, then you put in your Windows installation CD or USB and it should boot from there (if it doesn't, select it manually in the BIOS). When you know go on procceed to install Windows on the SSD it should detect that you already have it installed. Just select there the option that is moves your current windows into an "windows old" folder. When Windows is installed again you will have to go into this windows old folder and copy everything you need into the right location, then you delete the windows old folder.

But lets just hope that selecting it as boot drive will do it.

Oh and another info: Check online if your ssd requires some non default bios configuration. (different protocol and stuff)

good luck!
