Question about an upgrade and PSU requirements

I just got a new computer due to my old one dying not too long ago. I'm definitely excited to play with it but at present, it only has integrated video, which leaves me with few options. I plan on upgrading soon, though. I was thinking of getting the 'EVGA GeForce GTX 960 SuperSC ACX 2.0+ 2GB GDDR5 128bit' but before that, I was wondering what I'd need for it in the way of a PSU. The PSU in my current computer is just enough to power what it presently has within it.

My old computer, however, has a 750W Corsair power supply that I got just a few months ago that was working very well despite the other parts of the computer failing. I plan on pulling that out of it and putting it into the new computer. I'm not exactly tech savvy so I'm not sure if that will be enough for the card. Maybe it has nothing to do with being extremely knowledgeable about the subject and more about be just being blind but I didn't see any information listed where I looked for the cards power requirements. I apologize if this is a dumb question but I want to be sure I can actually handle the card in my computer before I order it and find that it's useless.

Solution
Nothing here that requires a large PSU. To install a GTX 960, even a 500W PSU of good quality would be enough. Your 750W is more than enough, no matter which tier it is.

I can't think of any situation where your old PSU would not be suitable. The GTX 960 is listed as a 120W GPU, so even if it was overclocked to the max it would still be under 200W. I'm going to guess that the PSU that came on your new computer is at least 200W less than your 750W PSU. As for worrying about what tier your Corsair is, you already own it, it's capable of doing the job, so just use it.

My current specs are:

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4460 CPU @ 3.20GHz
RAM: 8 GM DDR3
OS: Windows 8.1
Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce GT 730
Motherboard: Listed as 'LENOVO'

The computer model itself is the Lenovo Model K450e. I haven't tried overclocking or anything. I just got the computer itself set up with Avast, Chrome and other stuff yesterday, so the computer itself is more or less fresh. If more information is necessary, I would be happy to provide it.

Solution
Just be careful that whatever card you get will fit in your case. Open you case, and measure the space you have to work with. As for your PSU and a 970, 750W is still more than you need. Good luck.
