I was thinking if i just upgraded my graphics card from an ATI Radeon HD 4300/4500 series, to maybe a gtx 750.

here are my pc specs:
intel core i7 2600 @3.40 ghz
8 gigs of ram
(dont know what kind of motherboard i have)
ati Radeon 4300/4500 series (which you already know)

so if i just upgraded my graphics card to a gtx 750, should i be good to go? will i run into any problems, im afriad maybe the parts wont be compatible or something, im really new to pc and pc gaming, so i appreciate any feedback.

Solution
For a GTX 750 you should be fine. Since you already have a PCIe GPU card and a CPU that's within a couple of generations, everything should be compatible so long as the case has enough room for the length of the card.
