HDD auto CHKDSK. Random files (especially program files/games) getting deleted or not working

I have a HDD that i previously installed windows on but do not use it as a boot drive anymore. I never actually formatted it.

The HDD is most probably failing. You need to back up the data stored on it as soon as possible.

Oh! Its been only a few months I've had this HDD and thought it was faulty, is there any way i can get it back via warranty from Seagate?

Have you tested the drive? What does the S.M.A.R.T. report show?
In case it is failing, you can just contact the manufacturer's Support and see what they will tell you.

The S.M.A.R.T. report should provide multiple values. It is not just pass or fail test. Can you upload a screenshot of what the S.M.A.R.T. report shows: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/faq/id-2580030/detailed-instructions-posting-images-tom-hardware.html

Apart from that, I guess you can just reformat the drive(or write zeros on it with a third party tool) and see whether this will sort the issue out.
