I recently upgraded my gaming PC with a new i7 4770k overclocked to 4.2 GHz. I bought a Corsair H100i GTX cooler for it. however, I am still getting extreme heat problems. While idle the CPU temps get from 95C-100C. Every time I open a game it crashes within minutes. What should I do.

Hmm... 4.2Ghz is not a high overclock at all.

Please go to your BIOS and state your Core Voltage of your CPU Cores. It should be less than 1.30V
Also go over your BIOS to make sure all the settings are proper for overclocking.

What program are you using to get these temperatures.
I would recommend getting HW Monitor and checking the core temps.

If none of the above solves your problem. Reapply and remount the cooler properly.
