Asus maximus Q code 62

When I put my graphics card into the system the screen does not come on and in the top right corner on my motherboard I get the number 62 with the vga led on the board always on. The graphics card is brand new only got it yesterday and when i take it out of the system the system boots perfectly fine, can anyone help me?

Points towards a faulty PCI-E port or faulty GPU.

If you can, return both components and have them replaced (not via the manufacturer but from where you bought them)

If not, test in a different PC.
