Hi, thanks for reading my post! Im buying a new pc, and well, need a bit of help. I bought the FX6350, currently have it, and bought the Rosewill Galaxy-02 ATX Mid Tower Case. I need help with a build, and a GOOD gpu that will run with this cpu and not bottleneck. I can oc a tad bit but not really fond of it. I will be buying a CPU cooler as well. I basically need an entire build from you guys thats under like $475 (not including case and cpu) that will give me good fps in game and not give me a hassle. Currently upgrading from gt 630 and i5 660 :( I heard 16gb ram might give me a change, but I do video editing, some Photoshop work, and mostly used for gaming (every day). My main focus is fitting everything in the case, and a gpu. Everything else im pretty good on, but if you'd like to give me build ideas than please do so! Sorry for this long, boring message. I could've made it so much shorter and less complicated. And final last question, if i buy gtx 960(which is a nice card and the r9 280 as well), will it bottleneck my cpu? I would've loved to get the 8350 but I got my fx 6350 on sale for $88 so you cant really beat that!

If you haven't gotten your GPU yet, get the R9 280X, it is better than the R9 380 and the GTX 960.

And all GPUs become a bottleneck at some point. Like a R9 390 may not be a bottleneck at 1080p and max out every game, but at 4K it will bottleneck the CPU and you will be getting less than 40 fps if you max it. But at 1080p the R9 280X shouldn't be a bottleneck, and neither will your CPU.

Check out the Bottlenecking Guide in the bottom right of this reply.

I already got case and cpu it doesn't count. But max for everything else will be $500, but I would like low as possible but not so cheap I wont get good performance. I relise they become bottleneck at somepoint, but I would like the most "non-bottlenecking gpu pair with my cpu" if that makes sense haha.

RCFProd looks like a cool build, but I forgot to say (im extremely sorry cant express how much) I already have a mobo as well. Its a gigabyte 970a G43. So you can go up in price, just make sure yo u stay under $500 like you did.

Sapphire Vapor-X Radeon R9 280X 3GB: $210 before $20 rebate
GSkill 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1600: $52
Seagate Barracuda 1TB HDD: $45 with code ESCAVNR24
Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD: $100 (ends tonight)
EVGA 80+ Gold 650w Modular: $80 before $10 rebate

That's $487 before $30 in rebates.

...I already have a mobo as well. Its a gigabyte 970a G43

The GSkill *XL* memory is qualified for Gigabyte motherboards, but it appears you have combined Gigabyte and MSI models in your description.

:ouch:

Well, I realize that, but again I got it for low price and im sure it will be ok. My main concern is the bottlenecking and since I was answered, I can make my own build :)

I dont have the chance, unfortunately, but I think with proper cooling and a proper fan setup I should be fine. My uncle ordered a wrong mobo for his fx 8350, so I got his for free.

It's up to you but I would say don't overclock your CPU then to be safe. Poor use of VRM power phases cannot be saved with good airflow and good cooling. Maybe a small overclock towards 4.0 Ghz but leave it at that. Make sure to include a good CPU cooler like suggested above for any overclocking purposes.

To make matters even worse, the 970A-G43 is better if not used at all with an FX-8320 and FX-8350. As seen in this thread:
http://www.overclock.net/t/1471774/970a-g43-is-vrm-temperatures-the-only-issue

http://www.overclock.net/t/1406181/problem-with-msi-970a-g43

The problem is that this causes that your CPU will throttle a lot as the motherboard is not able to handle such TDP.

So be careful with that FX-6350 as it cools better than FX-8xxx and I think you'll indeed be fine.

I dont plan to oc, my main worry is the vrm thing you were talking about, airflow, and if my cpu will bottleneck my gpu. Since none of that will happen, I think i'm safe. I just really cba to ship the mobo back and pay for restock fee. I just really hope this build does well, I think its a pre good build for my budget. Some may disagree.
