Hi,

I'm looking into buying a new laptop (touchscreen) for school & gaming (handle moderate-high gaming levels) I've been looking for ultrabooks but they cost almost $1000... i want something below $700. It doesn't have to have an amazing graphics chip, just decent enough so my games aren't so choppy like on my current HP pavilion g6 that i bought a few years back for study use.

I've been looking into an HP envy touchsmart 15... to fit my budget. Is that any good for games?
My eyes caught the attention of the sleek looking HP beats notebook 15.6" touchscreen with 8 GB ram, AMD quad core A8 5545M APU with Radeon HD Graphics (1.70GHz)...

I don't know much about graphics cards either..like intel i3 , i5, pentium? It all confuses me really.
Anything decent below $700 would make me happy, and please tell me about those 2 laptops I'm looking into ^^

Thank you for helping my poor soul.

Additional wants:
- Over 4GB RAM
- At least 500GB space
- Full HD screen (1080p)
- Windows 8.1
- Touchscreen
- Good audio (beats)

modern games (batman, the witcher, gta 5) probably medium setting would be fine... not extreme low so the game looks like crap

For medium to high on thoe games a 700$ laptop most likely not UNLESS on a large sale will not work. Expect Low to Medium. Otherwise bump your budget to 800 or 900 and go for a 960m/970m

If you go for one with the FX 7600P APU not the FX 7500 expect 720p ish low to medium maybe some high depending on the game. I personally use the fx 7500 and regret my choice.

no. I mean as in do not get a laptop with a FX 7500 APU CPU/GPU in it. for the HP Envy. IF you are willing to bump the budget a little here is one that is on sale and will fit your needs mostly other then runing games at medium you may need to bump AA down and shadows. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834318910&cm_re=y50-_-34-318-910-_-Product
