Cpu cooler going on and off

Hi guys ...i have a fx 8350 with a stock cooler and it runs very good with good temperatures but while just browsing it just turns on and off for no good reason....dunno how to fix it ...it runs normally while running games like witcher 3 at ultra settings !

Depends on the heat settings, my friend!

If the temperature of the CPU goes too high, the fan will kick on to cool it off.

However, if it drops below a certain point it will shut off again.

Sometimes browsing can be simple, sometimes it can be very demanding. (Like if you're scrolling through a big news feed on facebook or watching a youtube video.)

It's meant to do this to keep noise levels down. Which is apparently the new thing that people are worried about.

My old PC sounded like a jet taking off, but it ran cold. lol

Well it runs at 4500 ish rpm while doing nothing except looking at the speedfan app....and the temp is 15/16 deegrees celzius

That's good. You want low CPU temperatures.

You should, instead, panic, when the CPU begins to run hot and the fan doesn't come on.

Im not panicking but the fan i very loud...i really freaking loud

That would explain why your CPU is so cool.

You could try using the speedfan app to create a custom fan profile so that it doesn't spin so fast.

Then there's nothing you can do, mate. Try to make sure your case has good air flow and position it away from your desk so it's not so loud.
