What kind of difference in FPS could I expect between the...

G.SKILL Sniper Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133 (PC3 17000) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231518

and the

G.SKILL Ares Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231550

Also, the former is 1.65 Volts as opposed to 1.5 Volts, how much of a heat difference will that make on the ram and system as a whole (Just have my CPU Fan/Heatsink and outer fans for cooling)

Finally, I've never messed with BIOS settings before. There's a good chance I'll need to toy with them to get the proper speed out of these RAM (right?) How would I go about doing that assuming it doesn't default to the proper speeds/timing/voltage?

Thanks everyone!!!

1866 is prob your best bet, haven't seen a lot of 6300s that can carry 2133 sticks, the Ares should be fine, could also look at the Snipers or the Ripjaws X in 1866

First what CPU and mobo? That will determine the best choice. In general th Snipers are the higher performing line of sticks, the Ares line is aimed more at general usage. You could prob run the Ares at 2133 but it would likely be a higher CL of 10. As far as gaming and FPS it will all depend on the individual game, some use DRAM quite well for performance 'help' where many simply use DRAM as a conduit for data, so it could be as little as no increase to upwards of maybe 5% increase.

AMD FX-6300 Vishera 6-Core 3.5GHz (4.1GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 95W FD6300WMHKBOX Desktop Processor (not overclocked, but may mess with it with the RAM upgrade)

BIOSTAR TA970 AM3+ AMD 970 + SB950 6 x SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
