Hi I just received my CPU in the mail and I was eager to install it but I made sure to have more precautions by using nitrate gloves and grounding myself. I installed the CPU then installed the CPU fan directly after it my computer booted up, and was all lit up and running but was not plugged into a monitor. Then it just shut off without warning leaving only the CPU fan running I uninstalled it and took a look at the CPU and it has a small point where it looks like something poked through the contact point also a pin Looks bent or broken on the mobo ,I had a zortec 8400 gen 2 installed and a wireless adapter but the computer is brand new it doesn't even have the software for any of the hardware.when I try to reinstall the processor my computer does not turn on and just has the CPU fan running if I take out the CPU and turn on the computer it just turns on and off like it should if there is no cpu.any help please I just bought the CPU and I don't have money to buy another thank you.

Alright, I guess this is worth a try if you can't return anything, but one time I bent the pins on a CPU and what I did was take a knife (the closest one I could find to the width between rows) and tried to straighten the pins out that way. You could try this on your motherboard, but be careful they are gold so they are very malleable and if bent to much or too many times will just break off.

It looks as if the pin got embedded into the CPU and broke off cuz when I run my finger over the CPU there is a slight edge where it make contact to the mobo danged CPU sockets pins
