Hey guys, I am hearing from my research that the EVGA 960 SSC 4GB card requires a Minimum of a 400 Watt power supply, an available 8-pin PCI-E power connector, and a total power draw: 120 Watts, which I seem to be covered, but I also know the hidden issues can sometimes be the amps on the v12 rails. So I need your help. Please look over my PSU specs and let me know if I can run this card. Thank you.

Mine has 12v1, 12v2, 12v3, 12v4 and under those its written 20A. So I have 20 amps per rail, but then I heard someone say the important thing is that I add those up which would be 80amps? Is this right and will my older OCZGamerXtreme 850W PSU handle the EVGA 960 SSC 4GB card?
Here are my PSU specs http://www.tigerdirect.com/include/AddCartfromGallery.asp?EdpNo=2776974&csid=ITD&Sku=O261-2006&imgcart=1&imgcounter=3

Doing some more research one guy on here described it like this:

"You need to take the Maxium Wattage supplied to the 12V rails, then divide that number by 12 to come out with the sustained constant Amperage that your PSU could provide.

According to the sticker (max wattage = 823 ) / 12 = 68 amps.

That is IF those numbers are actually honestly correct and not exaggerated."

So I guess my biggest question is, will my 850W GamerXstream PSU run the EVGE GTX960 4GB card?

Next question is, is the 4GB version at $230 worth the extra cash compared to the 2GB version at $209?

Here are my options:

-GTX960 2GB Superclocked $189
-GTX960 2GB SuperSC ACX 2.0 $209
-GTX960 4GB Superclocked $224
-GTX960 4GB SuperSC ACX 2.0 $229
-GTX960 4GB FTW $235

I'm liking the FTW since it has it all for not that much more money. Please let me know about the PSU, 12V rail, amp, and which version of the card should I get. Thanks guys.

Thanks for the response. I am already now looking at the GTX 970. There is such a huge gap of performance between the two that I can't even look at the 960 anymore. So how do you feel about the 970 FTW?
