SLIing Graphics Cards

Solution
All you need is the 2nd 970, everything else is good to go.

Should you do it? Well that's up to you and how happy you are with your current performance. Sli will add anything up to about 70% increase in fps depending on the game. Just be aware there are a few games which dont support sli so will run on a single card and sometimes when a new game comes out the sli drivers may take a few extra weeks to have the bugs worked out in a driver update

In some games a 100% gain can be had and it has been that way for many years, the games and scenarios may differ but I recall one of the COD games from years ago that doubled performance with two 8800GT's and still have the SS's somewhere in the archives.

Not a benchmark, real world gaming albeit from a few years back.
