Hi. I'm unsure of what alternatives there are to providing a hopefully fast and stable Internet connection to my soon to be gaming pc besides using a ethernet cable. It is out of the question for me to be drilling holes in my ceiling to get an ethernet cable to the router upstairs (as my parents won't allow it and aren't will to move the router), or to have a professional do it as it's expensive. I have heard of wireless ethernet cables and on board Wifi cards (sorry if I didn't say that right), but I don't know what kind of performance to dollar value they offer, if any at all compared to ethernet. Any and all comments and suggestions are appreciated. I'll post my pcpartpicker build if anyone needs or wants to see it to provide help. Thank you.

you can sitll use wifi for gaming,as long as you have a good signal(by good i mean excellent),i know it's not as fast as ethernet, but personally i play fps games like cod and battlefield using wifi and have had a pleasant experience so far with no problems or lagging
