I recently built my first computer and am planning on installing Win7 from usb. Upon starting up, I received the message 'Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key'. I have tried everything every way and cannot for the life of me enter the BIOS screen. Some keys on the keyboard don't do anything, some keys make the message show up again, and Ctrl Alt Del just restarts the computer. I have an MSI 970A-G43 MoBo. Please help, I appreciate it.

A TV will not display things right unless you set the aspect ratio to Screen Fit or Fullscreen %100 or what ever your TV says, Try hitting all the F1 through F12 keys before you get the error.

It doesn't seem to work when I do either of those, when I start it up, it shows the mobo's logo for a split second, then goes straight to the Reboot and Select Proper Boot Device. I am also using a ps/2 keyboard

Okay, so i'm going to try something new. I'm plugged into a TV by way of an HDMI cable while I wait for a monitor to arrive. I saw on a forum that this may be the cause of the problem. I have no idea why this would be the problem but at this point i'm willing to try just about anything.

My problem was different than that above but I still couldn't access BIOS to change boot order. Your suggestion of just keep hitting the "delete" key worked perfectly. Thanks
