First off, thanks for taking your time to help.
Hi here is a list of my pc parts:
http://

I've been getting high temperatures on my stock cooler i7 4790k and today I'm on my way to tyhe computer store to have them remount the stock cooler with Arctic Silver 5 thermal paste.
IF the problem still continues I want to know if I can upgrade the stock cooler to a Cooler Master 212 EVO without removing the motherboard. There is a cutout for the back of the motherboard in the S340 case but has anyone upgraded the cooler without removing the motherboard?

I know it's possible for other coolers but specifically the 212 EVO do you think it will possible to install without removing the motherboard from the case?

Your answer is appreciated. Have a great day.

Also, I made this a separate post from my previous post as I did not want to change the topic and wanted to get specific answers if possible.

Yes, you have the motherboard cutout to install the backplate from the other side of the case without removing the motherboard.
You will just have to take off the second side panel.

As a heads up, you likely wont see any difference with the paste change. AS5 has a cure time, not to mention the stock paste isnt bad by any means.
If you ever plan on using aftermarket paste, look into MX-4, it performs essentially the same, without a cure period.
