Ok so here it is, First I want to thank anyone who took the time out of their day to read this post, it is greatly appreciated! my story starts off with a home built pc about 3 years ago. I started with the basics, mother board, processor, ram, small power supply...I never really gamed on this computer before. about a year and 6 months ago i purchased a Radeon hd 7650 graphics card and installed it. I could play games fine, but there would come a point when the pc would shut down (not from overheating either)...<sad face So i got fed up with it and went out and got a PS3. Here i am today just got a radeon R7 260x and remembered the problem from last time, so i bought a 750w power supply as well (upgraded from 450w) Now it is still doing the same thing, I even took the heatsink off and cleaned it, put new paste on and it still shuts off. My most recent attempt (5 minutes ago) was to remove the top of the heatsink (fan) and clear all the dust from it, and there was a lot on the sink itself along with the fan.

My question to all of you is what could be causing the problem, i have narrowed it down to proccesor, heatsink, and motherboard. Any input would be greatly appreciated
