Sapphire Fury X Crossfire vs. Asus GTX 980 Ti Strix future SLi

Greetings,

I would like to ask You, which of these two combinations, will, do You think be more futureproof? AMDs scaling is excellent, but their basic power is very weak, also their driver update for AAA titles is lacking responsivity.

For me, it's the Nvidia safety, but noise and heat and stuff, vs. AMDs raw power, ultimate scaling, superior cooling and acoustics and also price.

Please advise,

Thank You,

Regards

p.s.: they'll be in this rig:

Though, the bottom is gone, there are two industrials, and HDD is in server.

That's a nice looking rig sir. I would go with the 980 Ti's, they tend to perform better and the radiators from two Fury X's will be annoying to mount without looking sloppy.

The two furyx rads will be tight fit in there...you could always go water block route with the 980 ti's.

The furyx scaling is better in crossfire but the drawbacks for furyx as you stated also and at that level of performance, I'd rather have nvidia driver update and aaa title support. They both have driver issues but nvidia still better I think.

EDIT: And yeah, nice rig too.

Greetings guys,

HCSn - thank You for Your reaction. I planned to mount one on the bot, and one to the back - or, both on the front of the monsta rad, but yes, that would be a bit extreme I believe.

The PC looks like sh*t at the moment, when it was built, it looked better, but not that good, as it could, with Strixes.

Now it's a general mess. I removed 3 HDDs into server, two SSDs are in the side, one small HDD is in the side. Am waiting for Strix, or Fury X's.

And, since You both showed me strong common sense, I will obey it, and will wait for GTX 980 Ti Strix, and buy second one later, eventhough the CF scalability is much stronger with AMD.

Reaper_7799 - thank You for Your words, and everything too.

P.S.: There was AX860i in the beginning, but I had 4 and they all were bad :(
