For some reason at almost completely random intervals, my max frequency drops to around 36% and I get 0.85 GHz instead of my normal 2.45 GHz. I don't know why it happens but it's really annoying. It cant be a virus because I only did a complete factory setting reset a few days ago and I haven't been downloading anything shady; only KSP mods (all of which are functional and aren't shady) , winRAR (functional, not shady) and Steam games (downloaded them straight from Steam). I've been having many problems with my computer ever since I got it and I think its time I do something about it.
I have an HP ENVY M6-1310sa. Hopefully you tech wizards can do something about my lingering tech issues!
