Hello, I have just finished building my pc: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/JsjhXL But it just didn't boot up when everything was in. So i tried to launch it with only a ram + cpu + cpu cooler. it worked and the bios was showed. So i connected a usb keyboard to use it but then there was a bang under the cpu socket+ a sparkle+ a smell of burnt things. Help please I'm very confused and scared. The pc rebooted after the accident but i shut it off immediatly.

Ok you need to remove your motherboard from the case and make sure that all the standoffs (Little gold things that you screw the motherboard into) all line up with specific holes in the board. What is probably happening is when you touch the case one of them is pressing against the board and causing a restart. Make sure they are all lined up and gently but firmly screwed in.

OK a pop and sparkle from under the CPU is VERY BAD. You almost definitely fried the motherboard, and probably the CPU as well. Go ahead and take it all apart and inspect for damage. From what you said it sounds like you caused physical damage you'll be able to see. It sounds like you shorted out something somewhere, was there a PSU wire touching something in there?

Well Everything is working fine now. I have checked 5/6 of the usb ports except the one i used when the accident happened and they are all working fine. There is another problem were the pc restarts when i touch the back of the case. The cpu works fine, he's a beast to be honest. I moved from a pentium + a gt 525m to i5-4690k + gtx 970. And IT FEELS GREAT .
