Problem with Integrated Graphics Card

To start off I use a Laptop with a 27inch monitor plugged in. I close the laptop so Only the monitor is active, not the laptop screen. Today when i was playing World of Warcraft i was only able to get about 8 FPS. Usually i can run about 70. I have had problems in the past with my computer using my Integrated Intel graphics instead of my Gforce 755 Graphics card. I checked my settings and I have my Nvidia card as the global default. I even tried right-clicking on World of Warcraft and "run with graphics card". And that didn't work. I then tried to disable my Intel Integrated graphics and when i did, it seems like it disabled my Nvidia also. After I disabled the Intel graphics I tried to go to my Nvidia control panel and I got an error message saying I had no devices connected to my nvidia card. When i enable the Intel graphics then it lets me go to my Nvidia control panel. It seems to think in the little graph that my Monitor is plugged into my Intel graphics card, but there is only one HDMI port on my computer, and I have always used it. The only thing that has happened that could warrent this Is I recently took just my laptop somewhere and when I brought it back and hooked up to my monitor the FPS problems started. The only thing I can think of is maybe my Nvidia card died?

p.s. I tried using my laptop screen without the monitor plugged in and still the same problem. I can only get 3-8 fps playing video games and When i disabled the Nvidia card, I was able to get about 20 fps. Are the two GPU's somehow clashing with one another?

Is there a way I can run diagnostics on my Nvidia card to see if it is damaged?

Edit 1: I found a tool called VMT to test my Vram, So i ran it and everything came up fine, but it was only testing my Intel Integrated graphics. I couldn't even select to run a test on the Nvidia card, almost like it didn't even recognize it is in my computer. I have both GPUs enabled.

Edit 2: I uninstalled the Driver in the device manager under "display adapters" and then tried to re-install. At a point in the installation process it told me it could not continue because it could find no compatible device for the driver. I had everything right when i picked what driver to install. It is like my computer doesn't realize there is an Nvidia card in it.

Edit 3: I tried to reinstall the driver and this time it started installing. Then when it was almost complete it says I already have the same driver on my computer. I cannot open Nvidia Control Panel and I when i right click on my desktop to look at resolutions and whatnot I get no dropdown menu. All that appears under my display adapters in my device manager is Intel Hd Graphics 4600. Someone save me!

Edit 4: I wasn't sure if i ever installed the driver for my Monitor so i tried to install it. It would not install. I was looking at my Devices and printers and noticed a little yellow ! on my computer. I right clicked and selected troubleshoot. It told me that I did not have the display driver installed on my computer, I tried to have it fix the problem but it could find no solution.

Edit 5: I looked in my Device manager under "other devices" and saw that "display" had a little yellow ! by it. I checked it out and it said the driver wasn't installed. I asked it to check online and it found the driver and started installing it. Before it Finished it encountered a problem saying it "found driver software for my device but encountered an error while attempting to install it. (underneath that) NVIDIA GeForce GT 755M the drivers for this device are not installed." After encountering this error I saw that Nvidia popped back up under my display adapters only to disappear again about 20 seconds later. When I go into "GeForce Experience" It tells me my drivers are up to date.

Edit 6: (hopefully my last edit) So I restarted my computer 1 more time and everything is peachy now. It is like none of the above ever happened. I'm so very confused but also grateful. My Nvidia driver seems to be back, the card seems to be working fine. I am able to get 70+ fps in World of Warcraft again. There was a problem with fuzzy things, but i realized Anti-aliasing had been turned on in my WoW options, I turned it off and problem gone. I am sorry i can't really offer any help to someone experiencing the same problem. If you are reading this and know more about it please let me know.

My main question is: Is my graphics card in the process of dying? Maybe it overheated or is just going bad. My room is usually 80-82 degrees and using a 27-inch monitor on a laptop graphics card must be hard on the cooling.
