Replacing my Old Mother Board and Cpu

My old mother board and cpu doesn't work anymore and i am about to install new ones. Do i need to fresh install my OS or can i simply just replace the mobo and cpu and boot up the pc and change the motherboard drivers.

sometimes you can boot into safe mode f8 and clear out the old drivers and then reboot. the best way is always back up your data and put a clean copy of windows on your hard drive.

You may also need to replace the memory if not the right type and speed ?
