Basically I have a budget of 850 pounds ( 900 if lucky) I need rig with an I7, Gtx 970 and SSD. Could you guys tell me what other parts to get that would make it a good build to play upcoming games like fall out 4, MGS 5 and also BF4 on ultra or high. You can also leave links to pre built ones on sites. As long as it's not a fake/ scam site.

Before going forward, because it makes a massive difference in the budget, why do you need an i7? Xeon won't do? i5 won't do? I mean if this is a gaming rig an i5 is usually enough, so I'm curious as to the logic of an i7 being a must have.

With DX12 coming I think the future of games badly coded to over-rely on CPU power will be gone. I mean I'm not judging, I have a 4790k but I also considered streaming and video rendering in my choice. For multi-tasking while gaming the i7 is a no-brainer.

Ram speed matters less if you've got a GPU, if you're using integrated graphics ram speed is critical, but the difference between 1333 vs 2400 when you have a GPU isn't noticeable in gaming.

My rule of thumb when it comes to gaming rigs is, CPU/Mobo/Ram should be enough to last 4-5 years before upgrading and GPU's should get upgraded every 2 years and try to go up one class with every upgrade. I went from a GTX 660 to GTX 970, for example and my next upgrade will be into the "x80" GTX when that gets released next year. It makes the next class more affordable because you can sell the old one for a reasonable price if it's not more than 3 years post-release, this helps offset the upgrade.

Thanks for all your contributions lads. I want an i7 because I'll be multitasking alot when editing videos etc. .. otherwise I would have gone for the i5 which is still good but with i7 I know I won't have to worry much.
