How to know which HDD would perform best as a windows partition?

I have two HDD's and there are the results given to me by Chrystal Disc Mark 5



  • Read [MB/s] Write [MB/s]
    Sequential, Queues = 32, Threads=1 41,47 40,57
    Random 4KiB, Queues = 32, Threads=1 0,561 0,491
    Sequential 36,07 40,47
    Random 4KiB 0,307 0,478


  • 2: Read [MB/s Write [MB/s]
    Sequential, Queues = 32, Threads=1 45,09 44,74
    Random 4KiB, Queues = 32, Threads=1 0,451 0,821
    Sequential 43,62 41,94
    Random 4KiB 0,235 0,817

The one currently used is a Seagate Barracuda with 80gb, RPM 7200, unfortunately in my lack of knowledge I could not find the cache. The other one is actually a repurposed external, WD Scorpio Blue 320 gb, 8 mb cache and 5400 RPM.

If it makes any difference I plan to use them for programs such as Microsoft office and a lot of movies. I don’t play on playing any video games.
