Unable to initialize SSDs, are they broken?

Hello, I own 2 used Samsung SSDs and I'm unable to initialize them in the Windows drive manager, I can feel the flash chips on the drive heat up (so I know there's no problem with the connection). I can neither format it GPT or MBT, both tell me that the drive is too small and upon checking the drive info everything marks 'unknown' or 0gb. This has happened to 2 of my drives, one of them I secure erased with Parted Magic, I've tried both USB and different SATA ports. What's going on?

I connected the one I secure erased, I'm going to look now.

It's a OEM, It's not recognized by Samsung Magician, can I update it otherwise?
