A10 7700k CRAZY Idle temps?

My sister been using this PC for a while now, she hadn't had any issues with it at all but how loud the noise was. so i checked into it and figured that temps are jumping down and up from low 50's to mid 80's while all she does is watch movies and browse the web here you can take a look:

i don't know whats the issue its using the stock cooler also RPM is always around 3500 and its annoying.

Re-seat the cooler and reapply the thermal paste.

ok i dont have any thermal paste i will buy one, which one do you recommend? is the artic silver 5 good?

AS 5 is good and easy to work with.
AC MX2 amd MX4 are also good
Xigmatek 3606 and 45xx are also good
Noctua and Phanteks pastes are some of the best but a little more expensive

If she isn't playing games and you are seeing her GPU hit 100% and the cooling fan ramps up loud I suspect she has a datamining virus. Hardware accelleration for JHD video will not cause 100% usage. Most games also will not cause 100% usage due to vSync. But a GPU Datamining virus will use all the gpu power it can all the time, even if you are just on your desktop. So scan for that.

okay i will look into that, she does have alot of weird applications that keep popping up. thanks for your help!

If you want to make sure you don't have a virus, download Malwarebytes and run a full system scan. Then, delete Malwarebytes and download Qihoo 360 TS and run a full system scan. That should fix the temp problem if viruses are the issue.

You can also go into Control Panel and delete unwanted programs. Sometimes if you install programs, they also install some other programs along with them (that's why you don't blindly hit Next on the installation window). Those might be the problem too.

i found some weird apps that won't get deleted so im going to try these scanner. hah thats what i keep telling my sister never blind hit next but she never listens :| thanks
