Average Gaming Build - Is it Good?

Solution
If overclocking is potential in the future, I would swap the i3 for a G3258, and increase the motherboard to a Z97. This opens up SLI (didn't see support for SLI listed), Overclocking, and faster RAM clocks. Small trade for now, but it opens up much more potential without having to replace the MoBo later.

Also, as stated above, larger SSD advised. 60 will be gone in no time.
For gaming that is about entry point for Intel CPU. You wont see huge FPS in games but on low to medium settings it will be fine. The SSD you have chosen is way to small. You will completely fill that drive with just the OS. I would get at least 128gb to 256gb.

Just wondering an extra question: are the GPU (GTX 960) and CPU (i3-4170) going to create a chokepoint for either? Or are they generally around the same performance (in their specified areas)?

Solution
If you are open to an AMD build, you can do a better for the same money...

At stock this will run like an i5 4440, especially in modern games. The i3 and G3258 will struggle with some newer titles.
Great MoBo and cooler for this CPU, easily OC's.
Better PSU
Better SSD
Same quality GPU for less
