Hey, I'm having an issue I could really use some advice on, my computer will idle fine, usually acts fine, but if I attempt to run a game while having anything else open or vice versa, even just having a couple chrome tabs open, the computer will blue screen after a few minutes at low temps (<50C). It varies from the IRQL Less Than and Memory Management messages. It seems like as soon as the computer receives any stress it does this. I have 2 8GB RAM sticks, one was throwing errors in the windows ram check, it has been removed and i'm only using one as of right now, it passed the memory check without errors more than once. Here are my computer specs:

Windows 7 Home
AMD FX 6300 Six-Core ~3.5Ghz
8192MB 1600mhz speed Ram
GTX 660Ti graphics card
CX750W Corsair power supply
1TB Generic HDD

(As a side note, this build was originally with an i5 processor and motherboard, both of those and the power supply were replaced a few months ago, this issue is more recent though.)

Any help/ideas/advice is appreciated :)

Solution
It all points to memory instability.

What settings are the DIMMs actually operating at?

At least post an image of the CPU-Z Memory tab page for your system.

Looking at the Customer Reviews here, sorted by lowest rated you will find several/many customers that experienced exactly what you're going through:

I, certainly, wouldn't put up with that kind of crap.

Also your Amazon.com link, that you provided, has Customer Reviews that show this problem:

I'll run memtest86 tonight, honestly, I'd be overjoyed if it was just bad sticks.. i'm more worried it's something like the board.

Here is the result after running the memory test for ~9 hours, if you're suggestion is this ram stick is also bad i'll gladly stop at Microcenter on the way home and get a replacement. http://imgur.com/maKi7qA

It shows 2 Errors in Test 8. There should always be zero Errors in every test if the DIMMs are functioning correctly.

Make sure you tell Microcenter that you're using the DIMMs in an AMD CPU system. Having seen the following manufacturer's response for a customer's review, from back in November 2013, you would think that they would have resolved this already:

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

We're very sorry to have let you down! The only issue that has been resolved involved some sensativity to AMD platforms and certain modules. There was a specific older batch of material that had sensativity to AMD which has since been resolved and our partners should have all new materials. The only way to be sure this is what might be happening with you is to contact our support at 1-800-336-8896 or online at www.crucial.com/help and we can confirm this and replace your modules.

If you did call, they should have offered replacment memory of the same type that will work great in your platform, if this is not what you heard, please request talking to a higher level tech support representative or manager and we will get you sorted out.

Thanks for your feedback and comments,
Crucial

I'll stop by there after work and buy a replacement and mention the AMD system, granted I don't know that they're really THAT knowledgeable on it. If you have a suggestion from this page i'm all ears, otherwise i'll figure something out, thank you so much for taking the time to help.

New RAM seems to have resolved the issue completely, thank you again! I'll assume all is well if I don't have any more problems by the end of tomorrow :)
