Games will freeze/lag while playing.

When I first boot up my computer, everything will run perfectly. But I will begin to play a game and often it will freeze or lag and the only way I can exit the game is by going into my task manager and ending the task. Once I do that, (if I can), my computer will then the lag with almost every move of the mouse. I first thought it was bad RAM, but I replaced it and it's giving me the same issues. I think it may be my graphics card, which I purchased from a friend of mine. My next guess is my motherboard, which I got on clearance from a store. This is my first build and everything is a fresh install, which rules out a virus.

My CPU is idling below 30C and my GPU is at 40C according to HWmonitor. Even when I stress tested my CPU, it didn't get above 75C, but about 8 minutes into the stress test, it lagged/froze. The only way I can get out of it is if I Ctrl+Alt+Del and signout, or turn my PC off.

Have you installed the newest drivers for your GPU? It's most likely not your MoBo. Also, the GTX 660 is a good card, but it won't handle GTA5 at ultra settings, so that might make your computer lag if you use borderless mode.

I installed the newest drivers and it did the same thing. I rolled back my drivers and the same story. I'm not playing GTA V, but Team Fortress 2.
