EVGA GTX 970 SSC Getting Uncomfortably Hot while playing ARK Survival

So as described by the title, I am a little concerned about my GTX 970's temps while playing ARK Survival. I am playing at mostly high settings (a few are on medium) full resolution scale, no ground clutter and lowest possible sky settings. I also have the following launch parameters set within Steam: -USEALLAVAILABLECORES -sm4 -d3d10. I have a very aggressive fan profile set within PrecisionX (~1500ish RPM idling @ ~30C) and 65% fan at ~65C in an attempt to keep things cool. I am running this card in a Dell XPS 8500 which doesn't have good circulation but normally while gaming I only get temps around 60-65C while playing other games like The Crew and Watch Dogs at max settings. However while playing ARK my temps today are in excess of 70C, and I'm getting rather uncomfortable with those temps as I don't think the card should be getting that hot. The card is not even a week old and I don't think it should be getting that hot.

Would limiting the framerate to 60 or something help with the temps? Or should I underclock the GPU or get a new case (really not a viable option at this point, but I might be able to make it work), apply new thermal paste (again, card's 6 days old, don't think that should be a problem), or simply dial the game settings back to medium?

Anyways any feedback/suggestions are super appreciated! :D

EDIT: Forgot to mention I set the card to thermal throttle at 75C because I there are some SATA cable underneath the card and I don't want them (or the nearby components) getting that hot as again, my case has horrible circulation. (1 exhaust fan, PSU exhaust, side ventilation (no fan) and front honeycomb vent (no fan))

70-80c is perfectly safe and normal for that card. you have nothing to worry about.

settings it to throttle at 75 is pointless. That is NORMAL OPERATING TEMP for the card. Set it to throttle at like 90.
