Hey,
I am video editor (by profession) and doing 3D animations (If I get some). My issue is when I use heavy programs which needs alot of RAM for work to be done then my PC starts to hang and I know the reason why it does it. My Hard drive starts to work as a RAM because of pagefile option. As soon as my hard drive start working as a RAM the response time goes to 60K ms. After that my system hangs for few minutes and then I have to wait to get it back and resume my work. I have attached the screenshots of the issue.
1. I need a solution because I am working on a project and cannot reinstall windows.
2. This issue now also happens when I put load on my hard drive like opening few things together and it started recently.
3. If my hard drive is bad and need replacement do tell me.

Note: Will buy more RAM soon but I need solutions for hard drive for few days to get rid of this thing so I can work on my projects smoothly without any hangs.
GPU is on its way it will be delivered to me on 1st or 2nd of the next month.

My system specs are
Asus z87 gryphon Mobo
Intel Processor i7 4770k
Corsair vengeance Ram 8Gb DDR3 1600 MHz
Samsung DVD/RW 24x
HDD 500 Seagate Primary
HDD 2TB WD Black Secondary
PSU 450W CM thunder
Case/Chasis CM HAF 912

Solution
One option is to put the swap drive/virtual memory on you second hard drive.
Start
Control panel
System
Advanced System settings
Performance Settings button
Advanced Tab
Virtual memory Change button
Remove check mark from "Automatically manage.............
Click on your first hard drive
Click "NO PAGING FILE"

Click on your second hard drive
I like to use custom size with initial size twice installed ram, or 8192MB and maximum 16384MB.

If the files you are using might exceed 24gig, increase both numbers or use system managed size.
The reason for setting custom sizes is so that one large chunk of the hard drive will be allocated, instead of the swap file being spread out and fragmented on the drive.

Set this on your second hard drive. Not the second partition on your first hard drive.
In you case it would be set on Disk D: , the fastest part of your second hard drive.

Well I can't risk second drive it is more important and precious to me because it contains my projects. (Enabling pagefile on a drive puts load on a drive and drive dies faster in my experience. I have 15 year old WD 900MB drive which runs smooth never installed a windows on it and never used it for pagefile. Now I can't live with just 900MB) ;)
Will try custom allocated size instead of system managed size.
